TIACA is a global not-for-profit trade association representing all the major segments of the air cargo and air logistics industry – combination and all-cargo airlines, forwarders, airports, ground handlers, road carriers, customs brokers, logistics companies, shippers, IT companies, aircraft and equipment manufacturers, trade press, and educational institutions. To accomplish its mission, TIACA engages in activities that seek to improve industry cooperation, promote innovation, share knowledge, enhance quality and efficiency, and promote education. TIACA aims to inform both the public and its membership about the role and importance of air cargo, industry developments and technical trends.
TIACA engages with relevant authorities, and publishes position papers on industry issues and the TIACA Times newsletter. The TIACA website is a valuable industry resource which contains a fully searchable database of information on industry issues. TIACA has developed research relationships with several universities through joint projects and student scholarship programs.
TIACA is committed to representing and advocating the interests of the air cargo industry at meetings of relevant regulatory bodies including the WCO, ICAO, UNCTAD, OECD and others that are open to trade observers.
November 2010, The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA), the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), the International Air Transport Association, (IATA), and the Global Shippers' Forum (GSF) agreed to form a new advisory group to ensure the air cargo industry had a strong, unified voice in its dealings with worldwide regulatory authorities and other bodies whose decisions directly impact on air cargo.
TIACA’s biennial International Air Cargo Forum and Exposition is the premier air cargo industry event. This world-class event rotates every two years between Europe, the Americas and Asia. Air cargo decision-makers from around the world gather at ACF to network and address current industry challenges and opportunities.
The annual Executive Summit (ES) provides a platform for top logistics executives from multi-national companies in key industry sectors, plus leading representatives from the global air cargo community to hear experts address current industry topics as well as participate in these discussions. Its casual setting promotes dialogue and meaningful conversations. TIACA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held in conjunction with the Executive Summit and brings together its diverse membership to discuss Association matters and deepen closer ties between individual members.
Through peer nomination and evaluation, TIACA recognizes and honors air cargo professionals for excellence and outstanding contributions, achievements, performance and innovation through the prestigious annual Air Cargo Hall of Fame award.
