ACF History

The International Air Cargo Association’s vision of creating a neutral forum for stimulating discussions and solutions among all segments of the air cargo industry has created a biennial event recognized internationally as the world’s premier air cargo event. The 2012 edition will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, October 2-4th, 2012.

Attendees at ACF events in Amsterdam, Kuala Lumpur, Calgary, Bilbao, Hong Kong, Paris, Washington and other crossroads of international commerce since 1962 have not come “simply to do business.” They gather biennially to analyze the state of the industry; discuss its problems challenges; and network together to solve problems and maximize opportunities. Discussions and decisions made at biennial Air Cargo Forums are far reaching not only into the commercial world but into governmental policy making as well as academia.

However, TIACA is more than a single meeting. It is the only worldwide organization that links all segments of the vast air logistics network. It is truly global in scope and outlook, and the members represent all aspects of the air cargo industry from all geographical regions of the world. TIACA is an advocate of the interests of the entire air cargo industry at meetings of relevant regulatory bodies. The association seeks to raise industry performance standards and to develop appropriate training and learning programs. It works toward constructing and promoting strategies and principles to reconcile legitimate public concern for sound environmental practices. TIACA seeks to secure consistent progress in the efficiency and integrity of regulatory agencies such as customs services. The association is pledged to support and assist progressive liberalization of the global market and to enhance trade between developed and developing economies. In addition, it recognizes industry excellence, and awards scholarships to worthy graduate students engaged in air logistics research.

By participating in ACF 2010, you as an exhibitor enhance you company’s reputation as a partner in achieving these worthy goals.
