Secretary General's Message

As we move into 2018, I want to wish each of you a healthy and prosperous year. We expect 2018 to be an exciting year at TIACA with the upcoming ACF in Toronto, Canada, October 16-18. Many people have asked me “How is this ACF going to be different than recent ones? Why should I invest my marketing budget in the ACF? How can I show my support? Why should I come to the ACF?” Allow me to address some of these questions in the text below.


How is this ACF going to be different than recent ones?

We continue to lay ground work to encourage wider participation from every sector of our industry during the upcoming ACF in Toronto. With just the participation from our partners, Multimodal Americas and CIFFA, we are looking forward to welcoming 2,000+ new attendees to the ACF. In addition to thesepartnerships, we have recently developed relationships with key partners; AGUNSA, ALACAT, Americas Alliance and AFRAA (African Airlines Association) and we are currently working with other potential partners in Asia, Russia and Europe. Through these relationships we anticipate a strong industry type and regional diversification of exhibitors and attendees that the ACF has not seen before.


Why should I invest my marketing budget and participate at the ACF?

There are many reasons to invest your marketing budget with the ACF. In addition to a better attended event with a more diversified audience, you should invest in the ACF to:

  • Support your Association;
  • Get your brand noticed at the event, increase awareness of your product or brand and generate publicity;
  • Build relationships with prospects, generate sales leads, advance the sales cycle and close sales in person;
  • Launch new products;
  • Stay up-to-date on key industry trends;
  • Meet with Key Clients and Business Partners.


Why should I attend the ACF?

The ACF is more than just a networking event. The ACF is where attendees are invited to participate and take advantage of TIACA’s 4 pillars (Advocacy, Networking, Knowledge and Consultancy).

  • Advocacy – Panel Sessions that feature industry regulators discussing regulations and compliance.
  • Networking – Meet other attendees that not only can be potential customers or suppliers but also friends whom have similar interests. Networking opportunities are available on the exhibit floor, catered events, during conference sessions and between breaks.
  • Knowledge – Interactive panel sessions that cover key issues within our industry provide knowledge and insight that can only be obtained first hand.
  • Consultancy – while we are only developing this line of our business, we want to use ACF as an opportunity to introduce consultants who cannot afford a stand, allowing for a separate floor area, say “a consultant corner”. We inviteconsultants to register online and outline strong points of their consultancy.


How can I show my support?

TIACA has created a broad range of opportunities for businesses and attendees to get engaged and show their support of the ACF and their association.

  • Exhibition – Exhibit at the ACF with a custom booth or a standard booth.
  • Sponsorships & Advertisement – There is a sponsorship or advertisement package that will fit in your budget.
  • Attend Forum Sessions – Discounted registration fees are offered to our members to attend the Forum.
  • Multi-package discounts - TIACA is also offering multi-package discounts for those that want to exhibit and sponsor during the event.
  • Walking the Exhibition Floor – Register early to attend the event as a Visitor. Visitors will have access to the exhibition hall and the CargoLinx One-to-One meetings.
