The TIACA competition, open to graduate students worldwide engaged in research, was developed to stimulate research in air logistics and to recognize individuals who have completed outstanding research and writing on industry-related topics.
Once a year, TIACA presents monetary awards of $1,000 as academic research incentives for research thesis or monographs focused on the air cargo logistics/commerce industry. The research paper must be single spaced and submitted with a 1 to 2 page executive summary. All entries are due on December 1, 2008.
The Education Committee will select the successful candidate according to the papers relevancy to the air commerce/logistics industry, clarity, topic timeliness, originality and over all impact.
Dora Kay, Chairman of TIACA Education Committee encourages the submission of research papers for competition. The writers of winning papers not only receive a $1,000 award, they also receive a great deal of exposure to the industry. The papers are distributed to the trustees of TIACA and placed on the TIACA website. The student and school retain all publishing rights to the research papers.
