Air Fare Discount Specials
South African Airways host for the AGM 2004, is providing discount fares of 50% confirmed space and 75% standby in business class and economy class to delegates, spouses and speakers attending the conference. Following are sample fares from key cities around the world:

These Discounted Rates of 50% (ID50) is on a confirmed basis (subject to seat availability) and the 25% (ID75) are on a standby basis. All prices listed above are in USD$. The fares include airport taxes and levies and are subject to exchange rate fluctuations.

Departure Tax
There is an international departure tax of R102.00 = US$15.00

Delegates attending the AGM 2004 wishing to take advantage of South African Airways’ (SAA) special 50% discount fares must follow the procedures below.

Member Delegates

  • Complete and submit the conference registration form.
  • TIACA will submit a confirmation to delegate and SAA. SAA contact information will be included in the confirmation.
  • Delegate to contact SAA agent handling the AGM 2004 delegate reservations.

Non-member Delegates

  • Complete and submit the conference registration form.
  • Non-member delegates registering for the conference will receive an invoice which will include payment instructions from TIACA. Upon receipt of full conference payment TIACA will send registration information to non-member delegate and SAA reservation agent.
  • All conference registration payments must be made by March 25, 2004.
  • Delegate to contact SAA agent handling the AGM 2004 delegate reservations.

Note: SAA will not book any reservations until they receive a copy of TIACA’s confirmation of the delegate’s conference registration. The discount fare is available to delegates, spouses/companions and speakers.

Visa Requirements for South Africa
Most countries are not required to have a visa when entering South Africa as a visitor and staying less than 90 days. A passport is sufficient. You can check the requirements for your country by visiting the South African Visa Requirements at:

Important! Travel Information regarding your passport when traveling to South Africa.

Please be informed that the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs, Washington, D.C. advises that "travelers" passports must contain at least two clean (unstamped) pages whenenver they enter South Africa. Otherwise, they run the risk of being turned back, even when in possession of a valid South African visa. All travelers are advised to carry a photocopy of the photo/bio information page of their passport and keep it in a location seperate from their passport.
