ACTIVITIES

To accomplish its mission and role, TIACA engages in activities that are
geared to improve industry cooperation, promote innovation, share knowledge,
enhance quality and efficiency, and develop educational programs. TIACA’s
activities are aimed to inform both the public and its membership about
the role and importance of air cargo, industry developments and technical
trends.
TIACA’s publishes industry position papers, the TIACA Times newsletter
and the weekly Regulatory Update. The TIACA website is a valuable industry
resource which contains a fully searchable database of information on
industry issues. TIACA has developed research relationships with several
universities through joint projects and student scholarship programs.

REPRESENTATION
|
TIACA is committed to representing and advocating the interests of the air
cargo industry at meetings of relevant regulatory bodies including the WCO,
WTO, ICAO, UNCTAD, OECD and others that are open to trade observers. |
THE INTERNATIONAL AIR CARGO FORUM & EXPOSITION
|
TIACA’s biennial International Air Cargo Forum and Exposition is the
premier air cargo industry event. This world-class event rotates every two
years between Europe, North America and Asia. Air cargo decision-makers
from around the world gather at ACF to address current industry challenges
and opportunities. |
EXECUTIVE CONFERENCE & ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
|
The Annual Executive Conference provides a platform for top logistics executives
from multi-national companies in key industry sectors plus leading representatives
from the global air cargo community. Its casual setting promotes dialogue
and meaningful discussion. TIACA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) is
held in conjunction with the Executive Conference and brings together the
its diverse membership to discuss Association matters and deepen closer
ties between individual members. |
RECOGNITION OF INDUSTRY EXCELLENCE

Through peer nomination and evaluation, TIACA recognizes and honors air
cargo professionals for excellence and outstanding contributions, achievement,
performance and innovation through the prestigious annual Air Cargo Hall
of Fame award. |
EDUCATION
|
TIACA is committed to raising professional standards in the air cargo industry.
It recognizes academic research and financially supports independent studies
at both the Masters and Doctoral levels through the following programs:
Walter H. Johnson, Jr. Scholarship
Awarded annually to a Ph. D. candidate in the air commerce field attending
a TIACA affiliated university.
TIACA Members’ Scholarship
Awarded annually to a Masters Degree candidate that is a TIACA member,
a direct dependent or employee of a member or a student at a member university.
Graduate Research Paper Competition
Awarded annually to graduate students engaged in air logistics research.
