ACF Host Application

	TIACA�s International Air Cargo Forums and Expositions (ACF) have been held on an �every-two-years� basis in venues around the world for the past forty years. The ACF moves on a rotational cycle between North America, Asia and Europe. Past events have been held in Dubai in 1996, Paris in 1998, Washington D.C. in 2000, Hong Kong in 2002 and recently in Bilbao, Spain in 2004.
	If your city or region is interested in extending an invitation for consideration as a future venue, please complete and submit the questionnaire below. TIACA�s Site Selection Committee will review your comments and may extend an invitation for representatives of your city/region to make a presentation at a future Board of Directors Meeting. The following questions should be addressed on your preliminary inquiry:

Does your city/region have a convention center facility large enough to accommodate an exhibit area of 100,000sq/ft or 9,000 sq/m?


Is your convention center facility large enough to accommodate a large conference session (800 attendees); luncheon area (1000 attendees); and additional space for a Press Room, receptions and general offices?


Does the convention center have at least five days open within the September/October time frame?


Does your city/region have enough hotels in the immediate area of the convention center to accommodate 800 visitors on peak nights?


Does your city/region have ready access by air from all parts of the world?


Does your city/region have opportunities for tours, cultural and recreational activities?


Will your regional/national air carrier support an ACF?


How much air freight volume does your city/region generate annually?

What is the relationship of your city/region to specialized air cargo markets?

What is the significance of your city/region to the air cargo market as a whole?

Are you aware that the host of an ACF assumes financial responsibility for all catered events at the ACF as well as a dinner at the prior ACF?


Successful applicants must host and underwrite a visit for the Site Selection Committee as a condition for hosting the ACF.
