TIACA Objectives and Strategy Over Period 2007-2011


PUBLICITY AND PUBLIC RELATIONS OBJECTIVES

 

Publicity and public relations are a key part of TIACA’s overall strategy. As the leading international trade association of the air cargo industry, TIACA has a responsibility to promote industry achievements inside and outside the industry both as a means to develop new business and to make legislators aware of the key role it plays in the global economy. At the same time, in order to be effective, TIACA must build a high profile and recognition on the basis of achievement rather than spin to cover up inactivity.

The achievements that will form the basis for an effective public relations program are covered in other sections of TIACA Objectives and Strategy Over Period 2001-2006. Following is a list specific goals which must be accomplished in order to meet the above objectives:

Objectives

1) TIACA’s website to become the #1 portal for the industry. The website to build an on-line library and concentrate on providing important articles and subjects of relevance in the air cargo industry, e. g. covering subjects like customs reform, standards and market access.

2) Establish TIACA as the leading industry resource for information, commentary and analysis within the air cargo industry media.

3) Establish TIACA as the leading source for information, commentary and analysis within the non-industry media.

4) Establish TIACA as the foremost proponent of the value of the air cargo industry.
