| Objectives
TIACA wishes to continue to further develop and enhance the ACF so
that it maintains its preeminence as the premier event in the air cargo
industry calendar. The ACF generates huge promotional and financial benefits
to TIACA in terms of perceived membership benefit, networking, and as
a focal point for discussion of industry issues. A greater proportion
of shippers and forwarders needs to be attracted to this event if it is
to stay ahead of competition from an increasing number of industry events.
TIACA generates more than ¾ of its income from the ACF. While
this dependency has worked in the past, it ties the financial stability
and growth of TIACA to a single event whose fortunes depend on market
forces. Other sources of revenue must be developed to gradually decrease
TIACA’s financial dependence on ACF.
The theme and the program must be finalized with enough lead time to
allow for effective marketing of the event. The theme is to be selected
12 months before the event and session topics 9 months ahead. Speakers
to be finalized 4 months before the conference and the brochure should
be ready to mail 3 months before the event.
