Jean-Pierre Emond
Ph.D., Professor – Packaging Science

Dr. Jean-Pierre Emond is an Associate Professor in Packaging Science and
Co-Director of the Center for Food Distribution and Retailing at the University
of Florida. He is the Perishable Principal Advisor for the International
Air Transport Association (IATA), and also serves as advisor for several
other transportation and distribution associations. Dr. Emond was on the
food packaging faculty at Laval University (Montreal), 1992-2003, where
he also was Chairman of the Department of Food Engineering. He was founder
and head of the Air Cargo Transportation Research Group 1994-2004. The author
of more than 300 scientific publications, many related to air transportation,
he holds many packaging patents. Dr. Emond has a Bachelors degree in Engineering
and a Masters degree in Food Science from Laval University, and a Ph.D in
Food Engineering from the University of Florida. |
