Polish cargo carrier takes 10th SAAB freighter
- Mar 17, 2008 (newstodate): The Polish cargo airline SprintAir has added the 10th SAAB 340 freighter to its fleet.

Russian carrier to start building wide-body fleet
- Mar 18, 2008 (newstodate): The Khabarovsk-based Russian airline Dalavia Airways is seeking fresh wide-body aircraft capacity.
The carrier is currently monitoring the market for the acquisition of two B767-300ER, to be taken on a 3-4 years dry lease arrangement.
Dalavia currently serves a network comprising flights to Bangkok and several Chinese destinations, and plans to start operations from Khabarovsk to Anchorage from this summer.

Opening a new segment: the Q400 converted freighter
- Mar 19, 2008 (newstodate): Swedish cargo carrier Nord-Flyg will be the first to operate a converted Bombardier DAsh-8 Q400 converted freighter, opening a new segment in the freighter business.
-We have acquired one ex-SAS Q400 aircraft, and signed a LoI for subsequent acquisition of more units, says Ulf Darenius, Nord-Flyg CEO.
-The conversion, starting from April, has been contracted to the Canadian provider Cascade Aerospace, with entry into service expected by August/September, 2008.
-We expect the converted freighter to carry 85-90 cubic meters of bulk cargo, or 9-9.5 tonnes of cargo over distances up to some 900 nm.
