Mongolia secures loan for new capital airport

May 2, 2008 (newstodate): Mongolia has secured the financing of a new international airport with a 270 million US dollar credit loan from the Japanese government.
The airport is planned to open by 2015 and will be able to handle four times more traffic than the Mongolian capital's current Chinggis Khaan International Airport.
Construction work will start in 2011.
