TREND - Cargo traffic rises in Feb - AEA
BRUSSELS, Apr 22 (WorldACD) - Figures from the Association of European Airlines (AEA), which groups around 30 airlines, reveal that freight traffic carried on scheduled services increased by 7.2% in February on the same month last year.
Freight traffic is measured in TFTK (Total Freight Tonne-Kms) on passenger and all-cargo services, excluding mail.
As foreseen, the figures were inflated by the extra leap-year day, the AEA said.
January-February traffic showed a rise of 5.7% on the first two months of 2007.
