ICAO to audit African capacity for US flights
LONDON, March 24 (WorldACD) - The International Civil Aviation Organisation will this year audit the capacity of Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania to originate and receive direct flights to the United States.
The managing director of Uganda’s Civil Aviation Authority, Ambrose Akandonda, revealed that Kenya’s audit will be carried out in July, with the other two countries being vetted in November.
Mr Akandonda said ICAO will conduct the assessment on behalf of the US Federal Aviation Administration to establish whether the three states should be upgraded to Category 1.
