India, China air services deal opens door for Great Wall

MUMBAI, Jan 18 (WorldACD) - Under the recent air services agreement between India and China, Chinese cargo carrier Great Wall of China can now operate services to Chennai and Mumbai.

From India, private carrier, Jet Airways can start Mumbai-Shanghai-San Francisco flights.

Due to the China and India air services agreement, the airlines of each country can operate 42 flights a week. Now three Chinese airlines are flying 18 flights a week to India, while India is only utilising four of the slots with Air India flying Mumbai-Shanghai four times a week.
