FAA issues new int'l aviation safety audit list

Jan 9, 2008 (newstodate): The US FAA has now released the latest version of its international aviation safety audit that shows little change since the last version from July, 2007.
In fact, only one change has been made: Indonesia has been downrated from category 1 to category 2, meaning that Indonesian carriers can continue existing flights into the USA, but under closer FAA surveillance and they will not be allowed to increase services with aircraft on Indonesian registration.
A "no-news" is the sustained category 2 classification of Serbia that remains barred from establishing flights from Serbia into the USA, which has otherwise long been wished and prepared for by JAT.
As was the case on the earlier list, Bulgaria and UIkraine remain in FAA's category 2 as well.
