Romanian carrier on the offensive in 2008

Dec 21, 2007 (newstodate): Romania's Carpatair has announced a strenghtened focus on domestic flights in 2008.
The carrier plans to up the percentage of passengers on domestic flights from currently eight to 15 percent by introducing new domestic destinations and increasing frequency on existing dometic routes.
The domestic network comprises routes from Timisoara to Bucharest, Suceava, Iasi and Craiova-Constanta, and plans are to add new routes from Timisoara to Cluj-Napoca, Sibiu and Bacau.
Carpatair currently operates international flights to London and to destinations in Greece, and plans to add a destination in Ukraine in 2008.
Carpatair is the largest Saab 2000 operator in Europe with 11 SAAB 2000 aircraft, in addition to a further two operated by Moldavian Airlines.
