Israeli carriers gain 5th freedom rights in Belgium

Dec 18, 2007 (newstodate): Israel has signed a new air service agreement with Belgium.
Under the new agreement the two countries will each designate one airline on the Tel Aviv-Liege route, in addition to the existing services operating to Brussels.
The agreement will also allow airlines to offer up to 10 weekly rotations between the two countries, compared to today's seven weekly rotations.
The agreement also grants Israeli carriers CAL and El Al fifth freedom rights, allowing them to accept cargo in Belgium for destinations including e.g. China and Japan.
