DHL establishes QSMS for shipping in Philippines
MANILA, Aug 15 (WorldACD) - DHL Express has activated its new generation global shipment management system known as Quality Shipment Monitoring System (QSMS) across 10 countries in its Asia Pacific network, including the Philippines, providing real time visibility on shipment status across the entire network.
The QSMS can alert analysts based at its Quality Control Centers (QCCs) in the countries when certain operational actions do not happen within a fixed set of timings. For example, previously in the event of a flight delay due to bad weather, this information will only be reactively available to the DHL network after the flight has departed.
In September, DHL said it planned to expand this operation further into Asia.
