LUG wins new customer: Rossiya Russian Airlines

LUG aircargo handling, the oldest independent ground service company at Frankfurt/Main airport, has signed up a new clienteffective July 1, Rossiya Russian Airlines.

The Russian passenger airline based in St. Petersburg operates six times a week with aircraft from the Airbus A320 family between St. Petersburg and Frankfurt/Main. “We expect to handle some 1,000 t of cargo per year for Rossiya”, says Wolfgang Korte, CEO, LUG aircargo handling GmbH.

Rossiya Airlines Joint Stock Company is one of the leading Russian carriers and was the most punctual according to Russian statistics in the first quarter of 2012. Flying on time, delivering a high service quality and maintaining high safety standards are amongst the top priorities of the airline. The company operates 32 aircraft and carries over 3 million passengers a year. At Pulkovo airport (St. Petersburg) it handles some
40% of all flights.
