China Airlines To Expand Air Cargo Services To India Chennai
China Airlines will expand its air cargo services to Chennai of India by launching a B747F twice a week, from 16th May 2012. The new service departs from Taipei on Wednesday & Sunday morning, via Kuala Lumpur, Chennai to Luxembourg, returning non-stop to Taipei.
Shippers will have more choices for cargo in/out India and decrease cargo transit time between East Asia to India, as well as India to Europe. Furthermore, by connecting its regional network at Kuala Lumpur, it also enables customers in Indonesia to promote same day arrival service for their Europe bound cargo.
Chennai is one of the fastest growing cities in the world. In India, it is ranked 4th for having the Maximum number of Fortune 500 companies and major economic covers automobile, software, hardware manufacturing, health care and financial services industries.
China Airlines also schedules three times weekly Passenger flight service by A330, serving Delhi to Taipei and Delhi to Rome; plus two flights per week by B747F freighter from Delhi to Europe. This Chennai new service not only optimizes China Airlines network in South Asia but also provides the local market a new choice for moving their cargo in/out India, with direct transportation as well as shortening transit time.
