Virgin resumes services to Chicago
|
Following the resumption of services between London and Chicago O’Hare last week, Virgin Atlantic Cargo customers across the US Midwest will have faster connections to a network of over 350 destinations worldwide.
The airline will initially operate four A340-600 services a week between London Heathrow and Chicago, with each flight offering up to 17 tonnes of cargo capacity. Frequencies will step up to daily from 18 May.
Through Virgin Atlantic Cargo's US trucking network, freight can make quick connections to and from prime markets across the Midwest, including Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Minneapolis-St Paul, St Louis and Wayne County.
Dan Parker, vice president commercial, said: "We've had a great response from our customers and we expect to be very busy on the route.
"They welcome the direct option Virgin Atlantic offers and also recognise we will be bringing more reliability and our own brand of customer service to the market, which they already enjoy at our other US gateways.”
