A-Z expands online coverage

The A-Z Group, publlshers of Air Cargo Week, have acquired the UK-based online logistics publishing company, Ethike Media Limited.

A-Z Group managing director Norman Bamford says: "As a global business we have recently embarked upon a major expansion programme for 2012 which started in October with the highly successful launch of our new quarterly magazine, Air Logistics Management.

"The acquisition of Ethike Media fits neatly into this strategy as the company's longer-term business objectives focus more specifically on online offerings," he added.

Ethike Media already produces HU e-news, a weekly e-mail newsletter, and the HU-online website, both of which serve the humanitarian logistics sector.

Bamford went on: "On a year-round basis, between 60 and 70 percent of all international aid is spent on logistics. That's more than US$120 billion per annum.

"Ethike's offerings have been created to facilitate the exchange of best practice and though leadership between academia, logistics suppliers and the humanitarian aid community and we shall shortly be launching HU Magazine, a bi-monthly virtual publication to cover this important industry segment."

To manage the new initiative, air cargo editor, journalist and communications consultant Simon Keeble is joining A-Z Group.

Bamford said Keeble will be "closely involved with some of the other new developments we shall be announcing - along with further senior staff appointments - during the first quarter of next year".
