Singapore adds new B747F service
Singapore Airlines Cargo will inaugurate twice-weekly B747-400 freighter services from its Changi airport hub to Frankfurt in Germany on 2 November.
The main-deck services will complement the bellyhold cargo capacity available on the carrier's twice-daily B747-400 and B777-300ER passenger flights between Singapore and Frankfurt.
Northbound services will operate via Bengaluru (Bangalore) and Sharjah, with the return leg calling only at Sharjah.
"These services are in line with our policy of matching capacity with demand," said Tan Tiow Kor, senior vice president sales and marketing at Singapore Airlines Cargo.
He added: "The freigher services to Frankfurt will give our customers more flights to choose from and will play an important rule in expanding two-way trade links with key markets in Asia and Europe."
