Ban on Air Cargo from Jamaica Following Threat
Following a bomb threat on a Air Jamaica flight to the United States (US), the US temporarily suspended air cargo from Jamaica. The ban went into effect Feruary 27 and was expected to be lifted 72 hours later. Officials from the US Transportation Security Agency (TSA) were also expected to visit the island to conduct an investigation.
The suspension has also been lifted for Canada and the Bahamas, per http://www.jcaa.gov.jm/NEWS_UPDATES/Cargo%20Suspension%20Lifted%20for%20Canada%20and%20Bahamas.pdf.
